Baggage Restrictions and Guidelines

Checked Baggage Allowances - Regardless of a full or 50% of normal fare ticket

• Any passenger holding a First Class adult ticket is entitled to a checked baggage allowance of 40kg (88 pounds) total free of charge for both domestic and international flights;
• Any passenger holding a Business Class adult ticket is entitled to a checked baggage allowance of 30kg (66 pounds) total free of charge for both domestic and international flights;
• Any passenger holding a Economy Class adult ticket is entitled to a checked baggage allowance of 20kg (44 pounds) total free of charge for both domestic and international flights;

No more then two pieces of luggage per person, for which the sum of the three dimensions must not exceed 158cm (62 inches) for each piece is allowed for all classes.

No free luggage allowance is granted to infants paying 10% of the normal fare for domestic flights;

The free baggage allowance for infants not entitled to a seat is 10kg (22 pounds), plus one checked or carry on fully collapsible stroller, pushchair, infant carrying basket, or infant car seat which may be carried in the passenger cabin subject to the availability of space for international flights.

Carry-on Baggage Allowances

• Each First Class passenger is entitled to have two pieces of carry-on luggage.
• Each Business Class passenger is entitled to have one piece of carry-on luggage.
• Each Economy Class passenger is entitled to have one pieces of carry-on luggage.

The size of each carry-on luggage should be no larger than 20 X 40 X 55 centimeters and the total weight should be less than 5 kg (11pounds). Otherwise, the luggage should be checked together with your other luggage.

For luggage in excess of the free baggage allowance in piece, or the sum of the length, width and height of each piece exceeding the prescribed limits, an excess luggage charge will be charged.

Please note that although the various carriers may allow other weight limits for international travel to China, the above guildlines are the standard weight and piece limits for travel within China.

BookChina.com recommends that each passenger travel with only one suitcase with one inside (for gifts to bring back home) and one carry-on bag. If you like to golf, we recommend BUYING your clubs in China and bringing them back.  A Golf bag counts as part of your two items.  Excessive number, size, or weight of luggage may result in your inconvenience and/or a surcharge.
